Congratulations to the junior band who came second on Saturday in the under 15′s ensemble. Well done to all of the juniors who took part in the solo competition.
The band would like to thank Alex for all of his hard work over the last 14 months and wish him the very best of luck in his new teaching post in Essex. The band has had considerable success under his leadership, but more importantly has benefited from his enthusiasm and the encouragement that he gave as the band’s musical director.
The band took 3rd prize in the fourth section at the SEWBBA contest at Ebbw Vale on Saturday 7th of May. The band gave a very good performance of Philip Sparke’s Triptych, well done everyone.
Many thanks to all who donated prizes and/or helped run the stall at Magor May Fayre; a very successful fund raising day for the band.
